SOSX

For investors

Investors

SOSX is AI-enabled systems thinking for any sector: an agentic AI platform for defining, researching and analysing systems-of-systems problems, with governance built in that makes it safe for enterprise. Here is the problem, why now, what is built and the evidence exactly as it stands.

The problem

Nobody is looking at the whole system

The questions that decide a programme, a portfolio or a market entry cross every silo at once, and the commitment gets made on the part of the picture someone had time to build.

The questions that decide a programme, a portfolio or a market entry cross every silo at once: engineering, supply chain, regulation, finance, skills. No single team holds all of it, so the answer gets assembled from the parts that happened to be modelled. Weeks and months of desk research go by before anyone can even frame the trade-offs, and the interactions between the parts, the reinforcing and balancing flows, are exactly where the risk lives. They are the first thing a siloed analysis loses.

We see the cost as a decision problem rather than a research problem: the commitment gets made on the part of the picture someone had time to build. Rigorous systems analysis is old, documented and doable by hand. The expensive part is not drawing the model. It is building it and keeping it true, and that is the work SOSX does: in our experience, weeks and months of work by hand in just a few hours, showing its working as it goes.

Why now

The research got cheap. The bar for trusting it went up.

“The performance of agentic AI is determined less by model sophistication than by the strength of the surrounding infrastructure.”

Two things have changed at once. Agentic AI can now do the patient research work that made rigorous systems analysis too expensive to run on every decision that deserved it. And the organisations that would use it now need that AI output to survive a review: the frameworks an enterprise security and procurement review holds an AI system to, from the EU AI Act to ISO 42001, ask for evidence of how an answer was produced.

SOSX was built for both at once. Its specialised AI agents research a problem from cited sources, and every output keeps its evidence and its approval trail. In our live enterprise trials with a large global aerospace manufacturer, engineers interrogated the audit trail, source grounding and approval gates before the analyses. That surprised us, and it is the finding the business is built on: the governance substrate is what makes AI-generated analysis discussable in an engineering review at all.

What SOSX is

The platform for management decision making based on rigorous systems analysis

The analysis exists to be decided on, which is why it is built to be inspected. It supports the decision; the human stays in the chair.

How SOSX helps

What systems thinking is. Systems thinking describes a problem as a network of interacting parts, with the feedback loops, stocks and delays that give it its behaviour, so you can reason about the whole rather than the pieces.

  1. Research

Specialised agents research the question, every claim citing a source.

  2. Build

One typed, connected network, every value with its units and confidence.

  3. Analyse

What-if, feedback loops, dependencies, trade-offs, risk and ROI.

  4. Report

SWOTs, risk registers and decision reports, red-teamed before you see them.

The products

One engine, a product for each field

Same engine, different questions: each product is the core platform set up for its own market.

Traction and proof

The evidence, exactly as it stands

We quote no speed-up, accuracy or hours-saved figure, because the benchmarks have not been run and we would rather show you than quote numbers at you. The efficiency payoff stays in our own words: in our experience it can realise weeks and months of work in just a few hours. The claims we make are the checkable kind, and they are listed here in full, so the conversation can start from what is true rather than from what is polished.

The business

How the business is shaped

Read moreHow the business is shaped

One core engine, set up for each market it serves. Every product reuses the same engine: a new market is a new framing of it, with its own questions and vocabulary, rather than a new build. Customers work with it in two ways. Teams run the platform themselves, where delegation is a budgeted decision behind a single up-front cost gate rather than a subscription to a black box. Or we do the work for them as a service: engagements, not licences, handing back the model and the reasoning as well as the outputs.

The SOSX book series teaches the discipline first and the platform second, so the people who reach us already know what a good systems analysis looks like. Commercial terms are discussed in conversation and are not published.

Built by Digital Tactics

Digital Tactics Ltd is an AI transformation, software engineering and innovation consultancy: a 15-year UK SME (founded 2011, Hove) that has delivered more than 170 client projects and maintains a portfolio of nine products, of which SOSX is the most important.

Digital Tactics holds Cyber Essentials certification and is an AWS partner.

Chris Dean is the founder and CEO of Digital Tactics. Alongside running the company he spent a decade, on contract, as Head of Technology at Endemol Shine UK, the British arm of one of the world's largest independent television production groups, where his teams ran national-scale live interactive systems with hundreds of thousands of concurrent viewers. He read chemistry (MChem) at the University of Sussex and undertook postgraduate research at the University of Southampton's Optoelectronics Research Centre. He describes himself as a frustrated scientist, innovator and creative technologist.

His commercial work is anchored in research: the €13 million ITEA GreenCode programme, which he initiated and leads, the ITEA GIGI project, GLEAM and other private industrial research and development programmes. He is a Technology Expert to the European Commission and an Independent Application Assessor for Innovate UK.
